What Makes Me Happy?
Several
thing make me feel happy such as a nice cold beer, you know the kind
that has the condensation just dripping off, yeah that type, and even
better on an isolated island along the equator, ah I can make it better,
in some secluded, tranquil beach resort sheltered from the sun's rays
under an umbrella, just watching the world go by. All the above is
great, but the truth is this is not my day to day life (unfortunately).
In my day to day life I exercise several hobbies which I will outline in the following text.
I
always enjoy a good coffee, and for that reason I have decided to
procure a drip coffee machine, which freshly grinds coffee before
consumption, this makes for a fresher taste, and allows the beans to
release all of its flavor into the brew. Why do I love coffee? Coffee
has this reminiscent sort of feeling, which just takes you away from
were you are for a moment, and allows you to almost have a ephiny,
before you realize that you just have to get back to work. The taste,
don't get me going on about the taste, because proper coffee tastes like
heaven in a cup, and the frothy milk is just the cherry on top giving
this silk like texture to the brew.
Another one of
my hobbies may sound slightly peculiar, but I like to research upcoming
consumer technology, like drones were 3 years ago when you hadn't even
heard of them. When a hobby becomes mainstream I seem to ditch it and
move onto a newer and more exiting hobby. For example I have recently
got into 3D printing, this hobby is both rewarding, and frustrating.
Most 3D printers are hard to use with the exception of some of the more
expressive models, I decided to challenge myself, by buying the cheapest
3D printer on the market (£120) and tweaking it so that it will run
like any other top tier printer. I have recently slightly broken away
from the new technology, but it is defiantly a technology that is
increasing by day in popularity, vinyls. I have always had this amazing
relationship with digital music, you pay a small fee and there you are
more music than you could dream about listening to. I had to buy a
turntable for a short film as a prop, and I found it to be so inviting, I
just love the fact that this previous virtual medium has turned into
something that you can hold in your hands, despite vinyls flaws. Vinyls
just encapsulate you in a sort of trance, were you are just so into the
music you can't leave it.
The above are just a few of the numerous things that entertain, and excite me.
