Finding The Best Record Player For Under £300

I decided that vinyl was the thing for me, and that my earlier turntable, see review, was good, but lacked the features, quality, and style that I was seeking for, I wanted something a bit more jazzy. In the following blog post I will save you time by showing you the results of my research. I will split this up into two sections, all in one units, and stand alone turntables.

Stand Alone

I will start of with Sony's option, a affordable stand alone unit which seems to be a good option. This turntable offers a USB input for saving your vinyls into digital format, but you will have to supply your own software unfortunately, as they have not bundled any with the turntable.

Pioneer has always been ahead of the market in terms of all round quality, and this is no exception. This turntable is beautifully minimalistic, and comes laden with features, such as automatic arm, plug, and play compatibility, and a double layer chassis. Overall it is a simple, easy to use turntable with incomparable quality.

The Pro-ject Elemental is one of the most basic, and simple designs I have seen  so far, but don't let that put you off this amazing piece of engineering. It has been voted "What Hi-Fi best turntable under £200". I believe that this is probably the best budget turn table on the market so far.

Please bear in mind that most of the turntables do not have a built in amp, meaning that a preamp is required. I recommend the above, because of price, quality, and ease of use.

All In One

I have ordered this turntable, because it has a built in amp, with included speakers, Bluetooth, radio, and also a AUX in. The player includes a remote along with the vast amout of buttons which allow you to fine tune your audio to perfection, and to the style which suits you.
